I loved my experience at Sweetgrass! The tasting was fantastic and they give you the glass when you do a tasting, which is great because that will last longer then the bottles I purchased. Their winery assistant, Matt, was knowledgeable and friendly. He had food recommendations for us for later and pointed out some of the cool features of the property. He also talked to us about the wine making process and how Gin is made. Pretty cool stuff. I will be visiting again and bringing friends. Cheers!

We did not know what we would find yesterday so far off route 1 when we headed out to Sweetgrass in Union. We arrived to a beautiful shop with a million dollar view from their porch. The owners were wonderful – leading us through their line-up of wines, ports, and spirits. The still was going and the place smelled of rum – I thought I had died and gone to heaven! Despite being packed we felt our questions were welcomed and we were encouraged to walk around their facility. Matt their winery assistant was cleaning up after a morning of crushing blueberries and he showed us around. We were only going to buy a bottle or 2 for gifts but could not pass up their Three Crow Rum or Back River Gin and left with a box full. Not only visit this place but take your time – the history, stories, and tasting is like no other.

So glad we finally visited this place. The winery ans surroundings are beautiful. The wines were good, but don't leave without a bottle of their AMAZING gin!
